Imperfect reflections and transparency...

Smear sample This shader is used to generate the diffuse lighting interaction that you get from imperfect surfaces.

  1. Reflections
    Standard reflections are perfect, crisp and fully defined. The only option is the intensity of the reflection. Smear reflections are more realistic, with distant reflections being less distinct that those that are closer.

  2. Transparency
    Standard transparency is perfect, the only option is the intensity of the transparency. Smear transparency can be modified so that close objects are transmitted through the material with more clarity than distant objects.


OPTIONS:

Smear takes its reflection and transparency values from the standard material window.
